NERI Presented at the 3rd North American Congress of Epidemiology, June 21-24

NERI gave 22 presentations at the meeting in Montreal, June 21-24, 2011. This important Epidemiology meeting is held once every 5 years and is sponsored and organized by 25 epidemiologic societies and 100 Congress Faculty members. The meeting covers all aspects of epidemiologic research, practice and policy, attracting researchers, educators, and policy makers from public, private and government institutions.

NERI staff presented at two of the four “Spotlight Sessions” giving in-depth presentations on the impact of sleep disparities on health outcomes and the relationship between abuse and urologic symptoms. In addition, NERI presented 20 posters across the four poster sessions, covering a wide range of health topics including urologic health, racial/ethnic disparities, medication use, sexual health, and subject retention. Almost all of the analyses that were presented are from the Boston Area Community Health Survey, which is supported by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases.
